Ash Wednesday is February 18th at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.: Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of a season in the life of the church that is set aside as a time for reflection on our lives and our faith. Early Christians observed with great commitment the days leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection, and it was the custom of the Church that before the celebration of Easter that there would be a forty-day period of spiritual preparation that we now call Lent. You are invited to join us as we begin this holy season with our Ash Wednesday services. We will host a brief 15-minute service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel and a full service at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Both include imposition of ashes, and both are open to all. Heart of Christ will be back with us again this year to assist in worship during our 7:00 p.m. service. Together, let us prepare our hearts for the journey toward the joy of Easter.
